Basic Reporting

Commonly used objects

  • Per Report Used 1 Object
    A Holistics report that renders/visualizes your SQL query results (table, chart, cohort, retention etc).
  • Per Filter Used 1 Object
    Filters allow you to slice your query reports and dashboards by date fields, drop-downs, list and text fields. Holistics objects include the total number of filters (shared and adhoc filters) used across all reports and dashboards.
  • Per Metric Used 1 Object
    Holistics Metrics allow you to define values to be measured and monitored regularly in different form and time period. Each defined metric is considered a Holistics Object. The same metric used across multiple sheets will not be double-counted.

Efficient Reporting

  • Per Template Used 1 Object
    Query Templates eliminate the duplicative efforts involved in repeating the same SQL query definition in multiple reports by allowing you to define a commonly used report query syntax manually. Each instance of query template used in either report or metrics is counted as 1 Holistics object.
  • Per Drill-down link 1 Object
    Drill-downs lets you link the records of the source report to another report. Drill-down commonly contain details about an item that is contained in an original summary report. Each drill-down link is considered 1 Holistics Object.
  • Per Permission Syntax Filter Row 1 Object
    Permission syntax provides add-on capabilities to drop-down filters that allows you to set records-based access control. This allows different user groups to see the same report URL with only data records relevant to them.

Scheduled Automation

Each schedule you define in Holistics to send out emails, cached or alerts on a scheduled basis (regardless of its schedule frequency).

  • Per Scheduled Email/Alert 1 Object
    Email Schedules allow you to schedule a report/dashboard or a notification to be send to a group of recipients via email.
  • Per ETL Data Preparation Schedules 1 Object
    Each scheduled task for executing Data Import/Data Transform job is counted as 1 Holistics object.
  • Per SFTP Schedules 1 Object
    Each scheduled task for exporting report into an SFTP destination is counted as 1 Holistics object.
  • Per Google Sheet Export Schedules 1 Object
    Each scheduled task for exporting report to Google Sheet is counted as 1 Holistics object.
  • Per Scheduled Background Cache Job 1 Object
    Scheduled cache reduces the wait time for frequently viewed reports or dashboards by allowing you to schedule query execution before viewing.

ETL Export Jobs

(Note: Holistics can query SQL database directly without the need for ETL)

  • Per Data Import Job 10 Objects
    Data Imports allow you to import data from different sources into your database.
  • Per SFTP Job 10 Objects
    SFTP allows admins/analysts to schedule a report/dashboard to be sent to an SFTP destination.
  • Per Google Sheet Export Job 10 Objects
    Google Sheet Export allows users to export data from a report to a Google Sheet.
  • Per Data Transformation Job 10 Objects
    Data Transform allows you to transform data in a specified data source.
  • Per Million Records Moved 10 Objects
    Total number of records that are imported successfully with Data Import Jobs. A million records is considered 10 Holistics objects.

Embedded Analytics

Selected Holistics Dashboards embedded in your own app for unlimited users to access.

  • First 3 concurrent queries 300 Objects
    If you have three users accessing an embedded dashboard, the first user will have have their dashboard widgets processed first, 3 concurrently at a time (each report and metric widget is a single query). The second and third user will wait for the query widgets for the first user to finish processing.
  • Per additional concurrent query 100 Objects
    Each additional concurrent query for processing more widgets is considered 100 Holistics objects.
  • Per Sharable Link (Static) 1 Object
    Shareable Link allows you to share your report/dashboard with people who don't have Holistics account. Static Shareable Link provides a fixed view of the data.
  • Per Sharable Link (Dynamic) 3 Objects
    Dynamic Shareable Link provides a dynamic view of the data. Viewers can query the data by submitting available filter values.

What is a Holistics Object?

Objects in Holistics are how we count usage within the platform. They refer to the use of product features listed above, which broadly speaking are:
  • Reporting widgets
  • Data preparation jobs
  • Delivery schedules
You are free to add/subtract as needed to optimize for objects usage on your plan without any overage charges. Scroll up for more details on objects!

What is a user?

A "user" means either a data producer (report creator) or data consumer (report viewer).

We've made the user pricing affordable for all user types, so a user can be either a builder or a consumer. From our experience, the number of builders is far less than the number of users, so it makes sense to simplify and reduce pricing as a barrier for power data consumers who's not afraid to get their hands wet with data.

If you embed Holistics in your application, the embed viewer will not be counted as a user. Embedded Analytics is priced separately, contact us to get more information on that.

What if I just want to pay and not think about usage?

We completely understand this and work with many enterprise companies who feel this way. We can work with you to create a plan that fits your budget and use case. Simply contact us and we can work out a simpler pricing model customized to your needs!

What payment modes are available? Can we make payments via invoice?

We accept credit card payments for new sign-ups. Invoice payments are available for customers on Enterprise Plans billed on an annual basis.

What happens if I go over my objects count?

There is NEVER a restriction on Objects usage, so your business operations will not be disrupted in any way. When you exceed usage, we will get in touch with you to find an objects count that better reflects your use-case.
